The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)'s Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) develops international web standards to help developers make web content more accessible. Some of these guidelines, called the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), serve as a good reference point when designing user interfaces (not only for web application but in general). Below is a link to their website.
Our goal is not to perfectly adhere to all of WCAG's guidelines, but to keep them in mind when we're designing our products and services.
